The River Church of Bishop is our most recent custom WordPress site. The Echelon Theme for MySiteMyWay was installed and heavily customized to achieve the look and feel desired by the client.
The Echelon theme includes significant implementation of jQuery features which makes for awesome image management, slide shows and jCarousel. Other features we added and interfaced successfully to the theme include the Wordpress Eventify plugin using jQuery Full Calendar and added interfaces to Google Calendar. Eventify was heavily modified to achieve the desired result.
This is our first church site and customization also includes:
- Color scheme extensively modified based on the River Church logo
- Custom widgets featuring top news, media library and Google Map for church location
- Integration with Google Calendar
- Customization of ministries pages
- Custom/secure contact form
- A church news blog
- Custom "Admin" widget
The site was developed and installed on icdSoft shared hosting, my favorite full featured hosting platform.
